Christmas in Blocks

Steve used a pickaxe to shape stars, orbs, and sheep out of glowstone. His buddies were making a diamond and emerald star to put on top of the Christmas tree outside as a torrential downpour insisted that they should take shelter.

"Would you like some fresh baked cookies or some pie?" asked Caitlin after seeing Steve and his disgruntled crew entered.

"I sure could use some. Thank you, my beloved," replied Steve as he picked up a pumpkin pie and several cookies. As they ate gratefully, Caitlin returned to her baking, filling entire chests with sweets. Meanwhile, the Steves filled chests with gifts like diamond armor and enchanted golden apples. They put signs up with screen names and Caitlin's chest was full of stacks of diamond blocks, wheat, and sugar cane. Suddenly, Steve took one wrong step and the chests and items burned.

"Noooooooooooooo!" cried Steve as he watched the fine wheat disintegrate, afraid of what Caitlin would think. He fell on his face and sobbed into a wool block, ashamed to show his face. Just then, he felt a warm embrace and those painfully sweet eyes were there again.

"Stevie? Are you okay? Do you need some torch light and cake?" the voice of an angel asked.
"Wait how do you know my..."
"You told me in The End when I saved you and how could I forget that face?"
"I stepped somewhere and all the gifts burned," Steve whimpered.
"You know that you are my gift, Stevie," Caitlin caressed Steve like she did in The End.
